At 242 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain over much of eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas and also east of a Eufaula to Hugo
line. They were most widespread and heaviest in Haskell, Adair and
Pushmataha counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east
at around 25 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an
inch and a half. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy, a
chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be
severe .
