At 326 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in northwest
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. They were most
widespread and heaviest in Haskell, Adair and Pushmataha counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith and Bentonville,
Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the east at around 25
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was around one
quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two
inches. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy, a slight
chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be
severe .
