...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CHAVES COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM MDT...

At 227 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles north of Lincoln National Forest, or 19 miles southwest of
Hope, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Chaves
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
