Light snow began to develop over northwestern and central Kansas
late last night. Predawn temperatures were in the teens and 20s
with overcast skies.

A upper level weather system will move eastward across the region
today bringing accumulating snow to much of Kansas eastward into
Missouri. The higher snowfall amounts will affect central and
northeast Kansas. Several winter weather advisories have been
hoisted across the region. Daytime highs will range from the 20s
over eastern sections of Nebraska and Kansas, to the upper 30s in
central Oklahoma.

For tonight, the upper level weather system will continue to race
further east away from the Heartland with surface high pressure
building southward across Kansas and Oklahoma. Clearing skies and
light winds will prevail over the region. Overnight lows will
range from the single digits in eastern Nebraska to the low 20s in
central Oklahoma.
