.SHORT TERM /THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT/...
Issued at 246 PM CST Fri Nov 7 2025

A weak disturbance moves southeast tonight into
Saturday, bringing a slight chance of precipitation across northern
Nebraska into north central Nebraska. Latest models have trended
precipitation a little westward than previous runs, back into
the northwest Sandhills so have added PoPs westward.
Temperatures should remain warm enough for precipitation type to
remain all rain. A cold front will track across the area with
strong winds expected out of the northwest. Sustained winds of
25 to 35 mph are expected across western and north central
Nebraska with wind gust of 45 mph and some isolated gust up to
50 mph possible. Strongest winds will be across western Nebraska
and northern Nebraska. There could be some elevated fire
weather concerns as well near and south of HWY 2 on Saturday
afternoon where humidity values as low as 25 to 40 percent with
the combination of strong winds. Did add a slight chance of PoPs
across far north central Nebraska, confidence is low but there
may be some light precip with the potential of some flurries,
would expect a dusting at most in a more robust "snow shower".
