...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 07/05/16 TORNADO EVENT - UPDATE #1...
...2 TORNADOES CONFIRMED IN BUFFALO COUNTY...

.UPDATE...The storm survey team that confirmed the tornado in
Wabasha County has now confirmed 2 tornadoes in Buffalo
County. Also updated slightly the path length and width for
the Wabasha County tornado.

.OVERVIEW...A line of strong to severe storms moved through
southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin during the evening
of July 5th and the early morning hours of July 6th. A NWS
storm survey was conducted on July 6th, confirming 1 tornado
in Wabasha county and 2 tornadoes in Buffalo county.

.TORNADO #1...Wabasha County MN

SURVEY SUMMARY: Tornado snapped off several hardwood
trees and the damage was convergent. Other damage was noted
in the nearby area caused by straight-line winds estimated
between 60 and 95 mph.
