THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE OVER THE SOUTHERN HALF OF
THE FORECAST AREA TODAY AND INTO THIS EVENING. LIGHTER SNOWFALL
WILL OCCUR ALONG THE INTERSTATE 70 CORRIDOR TODAY. SNOWFALL WILL
THEN DECREASE FROM NORTH TO SOUTH TONIGHT. SIGNIFICANT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE EXPECTED ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTHERN
MOUNTAINS...AND ALSO IN SOME SOUTHERN VALLEYS. THE GREATEST
AMOUNTS WILL OCCUR ALONG THE HIGHER SOUTHWEST FACING SLOPES OF THE
SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS WHERE STORM TOTAL SNOW OF OVER 3 FEET WILL BE
POSSIBLE BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS ON TUESDAY WITH
A CHANCE OF SNOW IN THE SOUTHERN VALLEYS.

MORE SNOW IS EXPECTED OFF AND ON OVER THE HIGH COUNTRY THROUGH
THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK WEEK. THE NEXT MORE SUBSTANTIAL STORM
IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT WEEKEND.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED TODAY OR TONIGHT...HOWEVER
SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION.
