This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

A stable atmosphere will result in dry weather and no
thunderstorms through at least 7 pm this evening. A few showers
and thunderstorms are possible across the far western zones this
evening, and across the southwest zones overnight tonight.
Coverage will be limited, and with instability very limited,
severe weather is not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Northwest flow aloft will keeps showers and thunderstorms possible
Sunday and Monday. The threat of severe weather Sunday and Monday
is minimal. A pattern change is expected to bring strong south
winds gusting to near 40 mph Tuesday afternoon, and a limited fire
weather risk. Much hotter temperatures will also return Wednesday
and Thursday. With improved moisture and instability, some
thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday may be strong to severe and
capable of large hail and/or damaging winds. This threat will be
highest near the dryline across the eastern counties Wednesday
through Friday afternoons.
