This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Areas of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain will continue
through sunrise. Light ice accumulations on exposed surfaces will
result in slick spots on highways, bridges, overpasses and
sidewalks. All precipitation will end by 9 AM. Temperatures will
be well below normal today, with highs only in the 40s.

Day 1 Hazards
* Excessive cold: Limited risk
* Freezing rain: Elevated risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Another cold day is expected Wednesday, with most locations
failing to reach freezing during the afternoon. Areas of light
snow are expected across the southeast counties late Wednesday,
transitioning to light freezing rain Wednesday evening. Some light
icing is possible across Stafford, Pratt and Barber counties
Wednesday evening.

Another light wintry mix is expected Thursday, and again on
Saturday. Precipitation amounts are expected to be light.

  - Ice accumulation: Limited risk
