...Burst of Moderate to Heavy Snow to Create Hazardous Travel
Conditions this afternoon...

As of 1 pm CST...moderate snow was occurring in Pontiac Illinois.
This band of snow will quickly move through northern Illinois and
northwest Indiana this afternoon. The snow will be heavy at
times, reducing visibility to around a quarter mile in spots. This
will result in a quick, slushy accumulation to around an inch or
so, and lead to slow and hazardous travel conditions. Snow will
not last more than a few hours, but will quickly accumulate on
untreated roadways. Expect snow in the Chicago metro area between
2 and 3 pm CST.
