Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
207 PM CDT Thu Sep 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...

An upper level high is forecast to build into the OH Valley through
the weekend, which will keep winds out of the NE/E. Isolated to
scattered storms are possible each afternoon. Min RH values are
expected to remain above 50 percent each day. While mixing heights will
be good, weak surface winds and transport winds at only 5 mph, dispersion
values will be fair to generally good at best.

We may see a break in the rain chances by early next week as the high
a weak ridge builds over the TN Valley but looking out further into next
week it looks like we could see our first true fall front.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible again
tonight mainly in the valley locations.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not at this time.
