At 1028 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms generally south of I44 in eastern Oklahoma
and also in Arkansas east of I49. Showers were heaviest in Mcintosh,
Okmulgee and Muskogee counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the east
at around 30 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of one half to
three quarters of an inch. Coverage and intensity decreased during
the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this morning and
into this afternoon, partly sunny, showers likely and a chance of
thunderstorms with temperatures 64 to 73 degrees and southwest winds
5 to 10 mph.
