...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PHELPS...
NORTHEASTERN GOSPER...WESTERN BUFFALO AND DAWSON COUNTIES THROUGH 900
PM CDT...

At 814 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Berwyn to 6 miles southwest of Oconto to 8
miles southeast of Lake Maloney State Recreation Area. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to around 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lexington, Cozad, Gothenburg, Elm Creek, Elwood, Overton, Amherst,
Sumner, Miller, Eddyville, Smithfield, Willow Island, Johnson Lake,
and Farnam.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 209 and 257.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
south central Nebraska.
