...FREEZING TEMPERATURES POSSIBLE TONIGHT FOR THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO
AREA...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL RACE SOUTHWARD THROUGH NEW MEXICO TODAY AND
DELIVER MUCH COLDER AIR TONIGHT. THE AVERAGE LAST SPRING FREEZE DATES
ARE STILL SEVERAL WEEKS AWAY...HOWEVER TEMPERATURES THE PAST FEW
WEEKS HAVE BEEN ABOVE FREEZING ACROSS THE AREA. TEMPERATURES TONIGHT
WILL FALL TO BETWEEN 31 AND 36 DEGREES...WITH THE COLDEST READINGS
FAVORING THE ALBUQUERQUE VALLEY. FOLKS THAT HAVE BEGUN EARLY SPRING
GARDENING ACTIVITIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RE-WINTERIZE OUTDOOR PLUMBING
AND PROTECT SENSITIVE VEGETATION FROM THESE COLD TEMPERATURES.
