.NOW...
Through early evening, a large line of showers and thunderstorms
will spread out of eastern New Mexico and into the far western
South Plains and southwest Panhandle. Movement of this activity
is northeasterly at 25 mph.

Areas along and west of a Plains to Muleshoe to Friona line
should see measurable rain before sunset. Rainfall rates are
mostly light to moderate with this activity, but embedded
downpours could produce over one inch of rain per hour. Although
severe thunderstorm development is unlikely, a few storms could
produce small hail and gusty winds.
