Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA
1128 AM EST Thu Jan 25 2018

Past 24 hour precipitation...
Light snow fell during the past 24 hours. The liquid equivalent
of the snowfall was around a tenth of an inch or less.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
Basin average rainfall and/or liquid equivalent of snow is forecast
to range from a trace to a few hundredth of an inch.

River trends...
For most of the district rivers... levels are expected to fall through the
end of the week. The forecast stages for the next 48 hours will
see levels falling one to four feet of the observed stages this morning.

However, for the Muskingum river... levels are expected to rise sharply as most
of the reservoirs are releasing water downstream.

Ice remains on some area rivers and streams. This ice is affecting
the stage readings at many locations. The river forecasts are based
on what the river stage would be without the ice.
