This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Sunday.

There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon, mainly
over the eastern sections of central North Carolina, or east of the Triad region.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to redevelop over the Piedmont during
the early afternoon, then track east across eastern North Carolina Tuesday afternoon,
ending during the early evening. The main weather hazards will include the potential
for gusty winds to 50 mph and hail up to 1 inch in diameter.

Later in the week, a strong storm system is expected to bring the threat
of severe weather, especially on Friday afternoon and evening. Heavy
rain is also possible.
