This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

There is a slight risk of severe storms with large hail and damaging
wind gusts this afternoon and early evening, mainly over the Piedmont
and northern Coastal Plain. Timing appears to be favorable for the
development of isolated severe storms between 200 PM and 600 PM.
These threat of isolated severe storms may linger through 900 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

There is a marginal risk of severe storms with large hail and
damaging wind gusts on Sunday afternoon into the evening. Scattered
thunderstorms may develop southeast across our region Sunday
afternoon, any of which would have the potential to produce large
hail or damaging wind. Additional storms may track across the
Appalachians toward the region enhancing the chance of severe weather
as well.


Spotter activation may be needed both days.
