THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP OVERNIGHT WHILE STORMS
  ORGANIZE FARTHER WEST ACROSS KANSAS. THIS ACTIVITY MAY BRUSH BY
  SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI TOWARD
  MORNING.

  NO SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. HOWEVER THE STRONGEST
  STORMS COULD PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH
  AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

  PATCHY FOG WITH VISIBILITIES DOWN TO A MILE OR LESS MAY DEVELOP
  ACROSS THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS OVERNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE OUTLOOK AREA FRIDAY.
  A FEW STRONGER STORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS MAY DEVELOP ACROSS THE
  EASTERN OZARKS AND FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND
  EVENING.

  MULTIPLE COMPLEXES OF THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO MOVE SOUTHEAST
  THROUGH THE REGION THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. LOCALLY HEAVY
  RAINFALL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THESE
  THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE TO UPPER
  90S FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND...ESPECIALLY ACROSS EXTREME
  SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND ALONG THE MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS BORDER.
  HIGHER HEAT INDICES OVER 100 DEGREES WILL RETURN NEXT WEEK.
