This hazardous weather outlook is for east central...north
central and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

South winds are forecast to strengthen today and gust over 40 MPH.
A wind advisory has been posted from 9 am to 6 pm today for areas
along and west of a line from Burlington to Topeka and Hiawatha.

These strong south winds will also create conditions for very high
fire danger for the entire area. Outdoor burning should be

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Freezing rain is in the forecast for Monday night and Tuesday.
Icing could range from a minor glaze to a few tenths of an inch by
Tuesday afternoon. Any ice accumulations could make for
treacherous travel conditions.


Spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
