Dangerous Heat Continues in the Southern Plains; Dry Conditions and Gusty Winds Bringing Fire Weather to the Great Basin

The ongoing heat wave with high temperatures in the upper 90s and triple digits will remain over the Southern Plains into this weekend and the western Gulf Coast into Friday, likely breaking dozens of additional daily records.
