Winter weather headlines are in effect for much of northern New York and Vermont until 7 AM Friday where 3 to 14 inches of snow are expected. The most will fall in the mountains. Localized wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph are possible, which could cause areas of blowing and drifting of the snow, along with very poor driving conditions. Isolated power outages are possible.
