Synopsis: Calm winds begin to pick up this afternoon as a front pushes
northward across SE AK through Saturday night. This front
quickly increases southerly wind speeds to near gale force with
gale force gusts likely. Behind the front, winds diminish into
Sunday. Isolated times and areas of increased winds will remain
possible with continued showers. Looking ahead, a strong system
will once again increase winds midweek next week.
