Frontal systems moving into the northwestern states will bring gusty winds and critical fire weather threats through the weekend for portions of the Great Basin and North/Central Rockies. As these frontal systems reach the Plains, they will interact with deep moisture to produce strong to severe storms with damaging winds and heavy rain.
