.DISCUSSION...
More hot weather is expected across the area, with highs in the mid
to upper 90s each afternoon today and Wednesday. Isolated showers
and thunderstorms will be possible across portions of east-central
Georgia this afternoon, but otherwise conditions are expected to
remain dry across the forecast area. Minimum RH values will drop as
low as 30-35 percent in north Georgia and 25-30 percent in central
Georgia. A few locations in south-central Georgia could briefly
drop below 25 percent for a couple of hours this afternoon, although
not for long enough to warrant a Fire Danger Statement at this time.
Winds are expected to be N to NE 4-8 mph. Isolated to widely
scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday,
mainly in central Georgia and far north Georgia. Minimum RH values
will primarily range from 25-35 percent. Winds will be light and
variable on Wednesday morning, becoming SW at 5-10 mph during the
afternoon. Mixing heights each afternoon will rise to between 6000-
9000 ft each afternoon.
