A stable post-frontal regime is firmly established across the area
leading to tranquil and warm weather conditions today through early
Friday. With drier air overspreading the area, a large diurnal range
is anticipated today with highs climbing into the upper 80s and
lower 90s for much of south central and central KS. Another subtle
front will usher in cooler air on Thursday with highs in the 80s for
most areas.

We continue to see a decent setup for nocturnal storms Friday night.
Elevated storms capable of large hail and heavy rain are anticipated
given ample mucape/directional shear and lengthy 1-6km bulk shear
vectors. As the previous forecaster mentioned, the better storm
coverage looks to be over central and especially eastern KS where
low-level moisture transport will be maximized. Another frontal
boundary will arrive late Saturday night into Sunday driving
the better storm chances south of the area with drier and cooler
air overspreading the area on Sunday-Monday where many locations
will see below normal temperatures.

Another shortwave trough will sweep across the central CONUS late
Monday into Tuesday bringing another round of showers and storms to
the area keeping seasonably cool air in place across the area.

VFR conditions will prevail across the region for the next 24hrs
with clear skies. Surface high pressure will slide slowly east
across the area today this will cause light north winds to
switch to the southwest for this afternoon. Meanwhile a weak
cold front will drop southward tonight and cause the winds to
switch back to the northeast in the wake of the frontal
passage.
