...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RAPIDES...
EVANGELINE...WESTERN AVOYELLES...NORTH CENTRAL ST. LANDRY AND
NORTHEASTERN ALLEN PARISHES THROUGH 945 PM CDT...

At 919 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of thunderstorms
along from Kolin, Echo, Beaver, and near Reeves. Movement was east
at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Alexandria, Oakdale, Ville Platte, Marksville, Bunkie, Mamou,
Oberlin, Moreauville, Cheneyville, Turkey Creek, Morrow, Effie,
Cottonport, Pine Prairie, Mansura, Lecompte, Hessmer, Evergreen,
Plaucheville, and Bayou Chicot.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 38 and 73, and
between mile markers 80 and 82.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
central Louisiana.
