808 FXUS64 KTSA 101923 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 223 PM CDT Mon Jun 10 2024 ...New SHORT TERM, LONG TERM... .SHORT TERM... (Through tonight ) Issued at 215 PM CDT Mon Jun 10 2024 Showers have now pushed south of the Red River, and expectation is for precip chances through tonight to trend even farther south. With low dew points and light winds will see another cool night, especially across more northern and eastern areas which should remain under less influence from high and mid clouds. && .LONG TERM... (Tomorrow through Monday) Issued at 215 PM CDT Mon Jun 10 2024 The next several days will feature only minimal rain chances. A weak mid level low presently located over eastern NM is forecast to drop southeast over the next couple of days, with influence limited to some mid and high clouds as precip chances remain focused to our southwest. By mid week the surface high will shift east as ridging aloft strengthens over our region, with temperatures and humidity responding accordingly. Another weak wave will slide across the northwest side of the ridge by the weekend, but impacts likely to remain north and west. Next chance of showers and thunderstorms looks to be at the end of his forecast period as weak wave lifts out of the Gulf of Mexico early next week. && .AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1152 AM CDT Mon Jun 10 2024 VFR conditions will prevail through the period with just scattered high clouds at or above 15 kft.
