For eastern Utah and western Colorado, here is the latest weather
synopsis
As high pressure builds in overhead, warmer and drier conditions will take
hold for today. Residual moisture will allow for a few scattered showers
and thunderstorms to form, but these will be focused on the higher terrain,
with areas along the Divide most favored. These storms will be capable of
producing gusty winds and frequent lightning, as well as possibly some
small hail and brief heavy rain. The threat of heavy rain and flash
flooding will be at its lowest point today, before increasing once again
starting tomorrow as deep moisture returns.
