...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

  Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20
  nm...
  Waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC from 20 to 40
  nm...
  Waters from Murrells Inlet NC to South Santee River SC from 20 to
  40 nm...

At 1130 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Little River Reef to 32 nm
west of DeBordieu Colony, moving southeast at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Ten Mile Reef, Little River Sea Buoy, Gary Ennis Reef, Winyah Bay Sea
Buoy, Sherman Wreck, Bill Perry Junior Reef, Murrells Inlet Sea Buoy,
Georgetown Nearshore Wreck, Little River Offshore Reef, Myrtle Beach
Rock, Atlantic Ledge, Inshore Hole, Paradise Reef, Georgetown Reef,
Jungle, Little River Reef, East Bank Buoy, Belky Bear, Cherry Grove
Inlet, and Long Bay Terrace.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass. If caught on the open water,
prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
