Through 500 AM, scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm will
wax and wane while moving across the Florida Keys and their
surrounding nearshore waters. The heaviest showers are located in the
outer Florida Straits west of Cay Sal Bank. This activity will move
west at near 20 knots and mariners may encounter wind gusts up to 30
knots, reduced visibilities in brief bouts of moderate to heavy
rainfall, and a stray lightning strike.
