New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure centered SE of
Georges Bank will drift SE of the area today into Sat night. A
cold front will move S over the area today, then weaken and stall
along 40N later today into tonight. The front will then return
slowly N as a warm front late tonight into Sun, and lift N of the
waters Sun night. The next cold front will gradually approach
from the NW later Sun night into Mon, then move E across the area
Mon night into Tue before passing E of the area Tue night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming E to NE. Seas 3 to
4 ft. Slight chance of showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TONIGHT...S to SE winds less than 5 kt, becoming E to SE. Seas
3 ft, becoming 2 ft or less. Chance of showers.
.SAT...SE winds less than 10 kt, becoming E. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.SAT NIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Chance of
showers and areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
