New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A stationary front over the
waters early this morning will lift N as a warm front today. A
cold front will approach from the W tonight, and move offshore
Mon as an associated low moves slowly into the Gulf of Maine. The
low will track E and pass E of the waters later Mon night as the
trailing cold front crosses the region. A weak high pressure
ridge will form over the area Tue, and shift E of the waters Tue
night. Another cold front will approach from the W and NW Wed and
Wed night, then cross the region Thu into Thu night. High
pressure will build E over New England later Thu night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...SE winds less than 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 20 kt, then,
increasing to 20 to 30 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, becoming 4 to
7 ft. Chance of rain early, then showers and chance of tstms.
Vsby 1 NM or less.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas building to 6 to 10 ft.
Showers likely and scattered tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON...S to SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 10 ft. Scattered
showers and tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON NIGHT...W to SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 9 ft. Chance
of showers and slight chance of tstms.
.TUE...W to NW winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft.
