Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas only. A cold front will approach from the W tonight, and move offshore Mon as an associated low moves slowly into the Gulf of Maine. The low will track E and pass E of the waters later Mon night as the trailing cold front crosses the region. A weak high pressure ridge will form over the area Tue, and shift E of the waters Tue night. Another cold front will approach from the W and NW Wed and Wed night, then cross the region Thu into Thu night. High pressure will build E over New England later Thu night. Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line .TODAY...SE winds less than 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 20 kt, then, increasing to 20 to 30 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, becoming 4 to 7 ft.
