West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front will approach the
northern waters later overnight and move slowly SE across the
northern and central waters Thu and Thu night before stalling
along or E of Cape Hatteras early Fri. The front will then return
to the N as a warm front Fri night, lifting N of the area Sat.
Another cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic coast Sun, then
move SE into the northern and central waters Sun night into Mon.
The front will reach the southern waters on Mon before becoming
stationary near or S of Cape Fear.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
