West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front moving SE away from
the northern waters will become stationary E of Cape Lookout
today while high pressure builds across the northern waters. High
pressure will move E of the waters on Sat as the front returns
back N as a warm front Sat and Sat night. The warm front will
move N of the waters early Sun, while high pressure over the
central Atlantic extends a ridge W into the southern waters.
Another cold front will move SE across the northern waters Sun
night, reaching the central waters Mon. It will become stationary
Mon night, extending NE from Savannah to the Outer Mid-Atlantic
Waters, and remain in place through Tue night as weak low
pressure develops along the front.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
