West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A warm front extending SE across
the far NE waters will lift N and NE of the waters this morning.
High pressure over the central Atlantic will extend a ridge W
across the southern waters today and tonight. The ridge will
shift S of the area Mon. A cold front will move SE across the NW
waters tonight, reaching the central waters Mon. It will become
stationary Mon night, extending E and NE off the Georgia coast to
the outer Mid-Atlantic waters, and then will remain in place
through Tue night as weak low pressure develops and tracks E
along the front. High pressure will move SE into the northern
waters Wed then drift S into the central and southern waters Wed
night and Thu. The high will shift E of the waters Thu night as a
weak cold front or low pressure trough approaches the northern
Mid-Atlantic coast.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
