West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Low pressure centered about
260 nm SE of Nantucket will slowly drift S across the outer mid-
Atlantic waters tonight through Mon night, then turn E and move
away from the waters Tue into Wed. A high pressure ridge will
gradually build S along the mid-Atlantic coast tonight, then
continue building S along the coast Mon into Tue night. The ridge
will move offshore Wed, then shift NE and weaken Wed night and
Thu. Low pressure will develop offshore of the northern waters
Thu night, then track E while remaining N of the area Fri and Fri
night. Across the southern portions, winds and seas may increase
later Thu into Fri ahead of a possible tropical cyclone moving
from the eastern Gulf of Mexico inland into the Southeast U.S.,
and all marine interests should closely monitor the latest
forecasts from the National Hurricane Center.
