New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure centered SE of
the waters will continue drifting S away from the area tonight.
A cold front will move S over the area tonight into Fri, then
weaken and stall near 40N Fri night. The front will then return
slowly N as a warm front Sat into Sun, lifting N of the waters
by Sun night. The next cold front will gradually approach from
the NW later Sun night into Mon, then move E across the area Mon
night into Tue, then clear E of the area Tue night.
