New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front across the
waters will move E across the area today, and then will become
stationary well S and E of the region tonight and Tue.
Developing low pressure will move NE along the front today into
tonight. High pressure will slowly build SE across the waters
Tue through Wed, then shift SE of the waters Wed night through
Thu night as a weak cold front approaches the coast and moves
just offshore. The front will stall over the waters Fri, then
will return N as a warm front later Fri and Fri night.
