Environmental conditions appear conducive for development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form during the next few days while the system moves north across the NW Caribbean and into the SE Gulf of Mexico. Regardless of development, heavy rain and increasing winds and seas are expected across portions of the NW Caribbean early this week.
