Well below average high temperatures will continue through Thursday along with another chance for mostly light showers on Thursday and Thursday night. High pressure will bring dry and much warmer weather for the weekend with inland high temperatures warming to around average on Saturday and 5 to 10 degrees above average for Monday of next week. && .DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE... SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES... Below average high temperatures will continue through Thursday with high temperatures remaining as much as 20 degrees cooler than seasonal averages. Late Wednesday night and Thursday the next low pressure system will move into the area bringing a slight chance of precipitation to the coast and western mountains. Any precipitation from this next event is expected to be light with the heaviest of locations expecting up to 0.10 inch. After the frontal passage on Thursday, warming conditions will begin in earnest Friday through the weekend with most locations being near seasonal averages by Saturday afternoon, and 5 to 10 degrees above seasonal averages on Monday. High temperatures for the inland valleys will warm into the mid 80s to lower 90s on Saturday, and 90s to around 100 Monday. For the lower deserts, high temperatures will warm to around 100 on Saturday, and to 102 to 107 on Monday. && .AVIATION... 172030Z...Coast to mountain ridges...Isolated low clouds around 4000- 5000 ft MSL have mostly scattered out of inland areas this afternoon. Areas of low clouds will redevelop after 02Z this evening, with bases around 2000-2800 ft MSL and tops to 3500 ft MSL, developing first at coastal mountain slopes and then spreading toward the coast. Coverage will be more widespread than last night, but will still be somewhat patchy and intermittent at coastal sites. Moderate confidence in timing for CIGs at coastal sites. Local vis reductions 1-3 SM for higher terrain above 2000 ft MSL where low clouds intersect with terrain. Clouds will break up and scatter out 17-19Z Wed. 171500Z...Coast to mountain ridges...Areas of variable low clouds with bases varying 3000-4000 ft MSL and tops as high as 6000 ft MSL will continue this morning. Local terrain above 3000 feet MSL will be obscured. Most areas to scatter out 16-18Z, starting at the coast and working inland eventually to coastal mountain slopes. Areas of low clouds will redevelop after 02Z, first at coastal mountain slopes and later toward coast. Bases would be around 1800-2800 feet MSL with tops to 3500 feet, scattering out similar to this morning 16-18Z Wed. Otherwise... mostly clear today and tonight. && .MARINE...
