.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

A quasi-stationary upper low will spin off the Southern California
coast through Wednesday. This trough combined with an intermittent
coastal eddy will keep the marine layer depth between 2000-2500 ft
deep this week, with low clouds spreading into the valleys each
night retreating back to the coast each afternoon. The upper trough
will also bring scattered mid and highs clouds.

An upper ridge centered over Arizona today through Wednesday will
bring warmer days to the deserts, mountains and some of the inland
valleys. Tuesday will be the hottest day with high desert highs near
100, lower desert highs from 105-110, and mountain highs in the 80s.

On Thursday and Friday upper low off the coast trundles eastward
across SoCal for a few degrees of cooling. Then warmer again next
weekend behind the departing trough.
