737 FXUS64 KTSA 250903 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 403 AM CDT Wed Sep 25 2024 ...New SHORT TERM, LONG TERM... .SHORT TERM... (Today) Issued at 345 AM CDT Wed Sep 25 2024 Areas of dense fog have developed early this morning, mainly in places that saw rain last evening and where skies cleared relatively early. The fog will dissipate around mid morning, with abundant sunshine expected for the rest of the day. Afternoon high temperatures will generally range from the upper 70s to lower 80s. && .LONG TERM... (Tonight through Tuesday) Issued at 345 AM CDT Wed Sep 25 2024 A cutoff upper low to our east will interact with the remnants of soon to be Hurricane Helene over the coming days, with the latest model data indicating this will occur a bit farther to the east than previously expected. As a result, most rainfall will remain east of our forecast area later Thursday night and Friday, with any rain in our area being confined mainly to western Arkansas. This system will shift slowly east over the weekend taking any rain chances with it and leaving pleasant weather over our area. A weak cold front looks to move through early next week with little fanfare except to knock temperatures down slightly. Overall, temperatures over the next week will remain within a few degrees of the seasonal averages. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1214 AM CDT Wed Sep 25 2024 Skies are becoming clear from northwest to southeast, and this should continue the next few hours. With recent rainfall, this may promote localized fog at some terminals. Most likely KRVS and KMLC will be most susceptible. For now, lowered forecast visibility to 1-2SM for most terminals, but locally lower visibility is certainly possible. Skies will be clear Monday mid morning onwards with northerly winds of mostly 5-10 kts. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
