...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PICKENS...NORTHWESTERN GREENE AND
NORTHWESTERN SUMTER COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM CDT...

At 401 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Pickensville to Lauderdale. Movement was
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Livingston, Aliceville, Gordo, Reform, Carrollton, Pickensville,
Gainesville, Epes, Emelle, Memphis, McMullen, Panola, West Greene,
Benevola, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And Dam, Garden, New West
Greene, Boyd, and Geiger.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
west central Alabama.
