VFR through the TAF period. The stronger push of drainage flow was
slow to develop overnight but is now well established at DEN/APA.
Some uncertainty with how long these stronger winds will last
before becoming light/variable later this morning, but the general
consensus is for this to last a couple more hours.
Mid/high cloud cover should gradually increase this afternoon,
with isolated to scattered convection developing south and west of
the terminals by the early afternoon. This activity should
gradually push across the terminals at some point today.
Confidence in any timing is low though I`d favor something close
to 00z if any TS do reach DEN. Did think about including a PROB30
but confidence in any specific time period is too low. Isolated
showers will likely persist through the first half of the
overnight, with drainage flow redeveloping.

For KCOS..IFR and LIFR ceilings are expected for the next couple
of hours, with improvement to VFR conditions likely after 16Z.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected this
afternoon and this evening, mainly between 21Z and 03Z. Gusty
outflow winds and lightning will be possible near and over
station with storms today.
For KPUB and KALS..MVFR ceilings will be possible off and on for
the next couple of hours, with improvement to VFR conditions
likely after 16Z. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected
this afternoon and this evening, mainly between 22Z and 03Z at
KPUB and between 20Z and 00Z at KALS. Gusty outflow winds and
lightning will be possible near and over both stations with
storms today.

Plenty of moisture is in place which enhances instability and
this keeps at least a threat of isolated showers and storms
this morning. As heating commences expect the storms to become
scattered to widespread over all but the far northwest CWA this
afternoon with plenty of left over convection surviving through
the night. Outflow winds the main threat to most TAF sites over
the next 24 hours. Rainfall rates will be high enough to bring
MVFR to IFR conditions if the right shower moves over an
airfield...but this remains a low probability forecast attm.

.AVIATION...KSLC...VFR conditions are forecast with high based
clouds throughout the day. Winds are expected initially out of the
south-southeast with a southwest shift early this afternoon while
increasing in speed. Winds are expected to be strongest from early
this afternoon into the mid afternoon hours. Wind gusts have an 60%
to 80% chance for exceeding 30 knots between this time frame.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...VFR conditions are
forecast throughout the forecast across the region. Overnight, mid
level cloud decks will begin to move in across far northern Utah.
The main impact to terminals today will be wind and wind gusts.
Across many terminals along or near the I-15 corridor, an 80% to
100% chance for wind gusts of 30 knots or higher are forecast this
afternoon out of a southerly direction. Notably, winds will be more
southwest to west at EVW and HCR. Overnight, a cold front will shift
winds out of the north across northern Utah and bring the risk for
wind gusts of 30 knots or greater to around 60%.

All terminals to be VFR through the forecast period. Mainly high
clouds to drift across the region through the rest of the
morning. Winds will turn more southwesterly through 16Z, then
increasing at all sites between 16Z and 20Z. Expect gusts of 25
to 30 kt, before decreasing again after 02Z. Mid-level moisture
does track into portions of central and southwest Wyoming
by midday. Isolated high- based showers/thunderstorms develop
around 20Z, along and east of a Green River-to-Kaycee line,
with potential impacts from gusty outflow wind. KRKS and KCPR
will be the terminals with the best chance (<20 percent) to be
directly impacted. Convection and gusty winds decrease
02Z-03Z. A surface boundary brings northerly surface wind to
the Bighorn Basin terminals Sunday evening. Showers will be
possible at KJAC after 09Z.

Confidence is increasing that most southeast Wyoming and
Nebraska Panhandle airports will see thunderstorms this
afternoon. Went ahead and started including TEMPO groups in TAFs
for most of our TAF sites. Timing wise...it looks like after 21Z
for southeast Wyoming and more like after 00Z for Panhandle
airports. After storms end...may see lowering flight conditions
in the Panhandle at KAIA...KBFF and KSNY as southeast winds
continue tonight.

VFR conditions will prevail through the afternoon, before lower
clouds move in across southwest Nebraska, including KLBF by
late evening bringing MVFR and potential lower conditions.Lower
cigs will then move into the northern Sandhills and north
central Nebraska, including KVTN terminal after midnight. A
slight chance of showers this afternoon across the northern
Sandhills, with additional thunderstorm chances across western
Nebraska this evening. Winds will be gusty in the morning and
afternoon out of the southeast around 10 to 15kts and gust of 25
kts.

GLD: VFR conditions will begin to rapidly deteriorate around or
shortly after sunrise (~12-14Z). Deterioration to MVFR and
perhaps IFR is expected as cloud cover increases over the
terminal. While some improvement to MVFR and VFR ceilings is
expected during the afternoon, ceilings could decline to IFR-
this evening as showers and thunderstorms move within the
vicinity of the terminal. South-southeasterly winds are expected
to much of the period, with gusts up to ~25 knots during the
day and again towards the end of the period/sunrise Monday
morning.
MCK: VFR conditions will continue through the morning (~16-18Z)
when borderline VFR-MVFR ceilings are anticipated to develop
and persist throughout the day. Ceilings will likely deteriorate
to low-end MVFR or IFR a few hours after sunset this evening
through the end of the period as showers and perhaps
thunderstorms move within the vicinity of the terminal.
Southeast winds will continue through the period with gusts up
to 20 knots by mid-late afternoon.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms continue across much of
southwest KS, bringing TSRA/VCTS and MVFR/IFR cigs to all
terminals. These conditions will continue through late
morning/early afternoon Sunday when convection begins to
diminish allowing cigs to rise to low-end VFR. Late in the
period, abundant moisture and cool temperatures will support a
return in MVFR/IFR cigs to DDC and HYS, while GCK and LBL remain
in VFR. Regarding winds, current east/northeast winds aoa 12 kts
will gradually veer to south-southeasterly by the end of the
period.

Band of showers and storms continues to spin around the
Panhandles. So far they have kept their distance from the KDHT and
KGUY terminals. But there still could be the need for VCTS, or
perhaps brief TSRA, but that will be noted with amendments. Some
low clouds have moved into the KGUY area and IFR cigs to possible
LIFR cigs will be around through 14z, and should improved
gradually thereafter. KDHT and KAMA look to have VFR cigs through
the TAF period. Winds generally light and variable becoming more
southeasterly 10-15kts for the rest of the TAF period.

A band of showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue to
lift northeastward through far northeast NM this morning. In the
northwest third of the state this morning, isolated showers and
thunderstorms will continue to drift north and northeast during
the morning. Later today, another round of mainly scattered
showers and thunderstorms will favor the central mountain chain
westward, getting off to another relatively late start during the
late afternoon and continuing through much of tonight. Heavy
rainfall and brief reductions to visibility are likely from any
storm. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible in San Juan
and McKinley counties including KFMN and KGUP late this afternoon
with large hail and severe winds the main threats.
