New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front across Georges
Bank will move S of the waters this morning, with high pressure
then building E across the area later today and tonight. High
pressure will shift E of the waters Sat. A warm front will move
across the area Sat night into early Sun. Another cold front
approaches the waters from the NW late Sun and moves into the
waters Sun night, stalling as low pressure develops along the
front late Sun night. The low then remains over or near the
waters Mon into Tue before moving E and NE of the area Tue
night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...NW winds 15 to 25 kt, becoming W to SW 5 to 15 kt. Seas
3 to 5 ft.
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
.SAT...S winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to
6 ft.
.SAT NIGHT...S winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft. Chance of
showers and tstms and areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.SUN...SW winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft.
