Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas only. The warm front will move N of the waters early Sun, while high pressure over the central Atlantic extends a ridge W into the southern waters. A cold front will move SE across the northern waters Sun night, reaching the central waters Mon. It will become stationary Mon night, extending NE from Savannah to the outer Mid-Atlantic Waters, and remain in place through Tue night as weak low pressure develops along the front. High pressure will move SE into the northern waters Wed then drift S into the central waters Wed night.
