West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front will move S over
the N waters tonight, with high pressure building over the N
waters behind the front. The front will stall Fri off of the
mid-Atlantic coast. Little change in these conditions should
occur Fri night into Sat. On Sat, high pressure to the N will
begin shifting E as the front returns back N as a warm front Sat
and Sat night. The warm front should move N of the waters Sun,
with high pressure to the S building W over the S waters. A cold
front will approach the NW waters late Sun, stalling over the N
waters Sun night as low pressure develops along the front. The
low then remains over or near the N waters Mon into Tue, while a
trailing cold front slowly moves SE over the central and S
waters. The low should move E of the NE waters Tue night.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
