...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY
THROUGH 630 PM MDT...

At 606 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Arch, or 14 miles southeast of Portales, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Arch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
east central New Mexico.
