The low RH and gusty winds will produce critical levels into the evening, primarily in Modoc and northern Washoe counties. A low pressure system will bring enhanced winds by Wednesday, and with the low humidities, critical fire weather is possible for eastern Lassen, eastern Modoc, and Washoe counties. $$ ECC012-242100- Tahoe Basin, Sierra Foothills and El Dorado NF- Discussion for Camino 151 PM PDT Sun Jun 23 2024 Hot and dry conditions continue into early next week with poor mid-slope recoveries and typical afternoon and evening breezes. Scattered showers with isolated thunder is possible for areas south of US-50 in the Sierra on Tuesday. A low pressure system will bring enhanced winds by Wednesday with slightly cooler temperatures and continued dry conditions. $$ ECC016-017-242100- Sierra Front in Alpine county- Inyo NF, Mono County and Owens Valley- Discussion for SF and Inyo 151 PM PDT Sun Jun 23 2024 Conditions remain dry for most of the area despite recent moisture in the area. While some localized areas may see wetting rains in the coming days, most areas will not. Thunderstorm development will bring concerns from lightning starts to outflow winds possibly spreading them rapidly. Expect temperatures well above normal and light winds through Wednesday. $$
