...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL GREENSVILLE...WEST
CENTRAL ISLE OF WIGHT...SOUTHAMPTON...CENTRAL SUSSEX AND SOUTH
CENTRAL SURRY COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF EMPORIA THROUGH 445 PM EDT...

At 354 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Ivor to near Radium. Movement was east at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Purdy, Jarratt, Ivor, and Radium around 400 PM EDT.
  Zuni around 415 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Vicksville, Booth
Fork, Adams Grove, Grizzard, Bufford Crossroads, Lanes Corner, Yale,
Pleasant Shade, Lumberton, and Emporia Reservoir.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
south central and southeastern Virginia.
